Our Mission Statement
To create and maintain a positive environment for young and old alike by sharing in fellowship, faith, time and talents and we serve Jesus by serving others, and promote growth and involvement in one’s own church.
To serve our local communities by providing a safe place for children and youth to learn high moral values and take pride in being a healthy citizen. The CCOC is located in beautiful downtown Olivia, on the south side of Highway 212, right next to Master’s Coffee Shop.
The Christian Community Outreach Center (CCOC) is a non-profit, grassroots organization formed in 1997 by a task force of citizens and professionals of Renville County.
A survey conducted by the CCOC in 1999 showed an outcry from families, social service agencies and the local police departments for help with unsupervised youth during the after school and early evening hours when parents were away at work. The consensus was that children left alone after school and early evening hours were identified as having the most severe academic, special and emotional difficulties.
A Board of Directors was formed in 1999 and a two story 6,000 square foot store front building was donated for this project. After a complete remodeling project done almost completely by volunteers the CCOC began the After School Enrichment program.
The After School Enrichment Program gives continued attention to building and sustaining a healthy mind, body, social and emotional well being and the responsibility of being a productive citizen. Since 1999, the CCOC’s After School Enrichment Program has served over 1665 individual children.
